Microchipping
Microchipping is a simple and effective way to ensure your pet can be identified and returned to you if they are ever lost.
All treatments are carried out by a fully trained and insured implanter at our Hucknall salon.
What is Microchipping?
Microchipping involves placing a small chip, about the size of a grain of rice, just under your pet’s skin.
Each chip contains a unique identification number, which is registered on a national database.
If your pet is lost and found, the chip can be scanned and your contact details retrieved quickly.
Legal Requirements
Under UK law:
- All dogs must be microchipped and registered
- Cats must also be microchipped (from June 2024)
Failure to have your pet microchipped could result in a fine of up to £2,000.
